Phi Delta Chi holds its Brothers to a high standard of scholastic and professional responsibility. We acknowledge that a sound education is essential to our success as students and as health care professionals.
Phi Delta Chi lives our “Learning Never Ceases” values through supporting professional development of our alumni Brothers through a scholarship program which was established in 2014. Alumni Brothers will be eligible to receive scholarship monies to help defray the cost of attending conferences, pursuing advanced certifications, or continuing education materials or courses. Up to eight $500 scholarships are given to alumni Brothers annually. Since its inception, more than $44,000 has been awarded to our alumni Brothers to assist in their pursuit of knowledge.
View RecipientsThe purpose of the Distinguished Alumnus Award is to recognize Phi Delta Chi alumni who have made significant contributions to society, and whose accomplishments, affiliations, and careers have advanced science or served humanity. The Distinguished Alumnus Award does more than honor its recipients. It helps illustrate the great value of Phi Delta Chi’s leader-development programs, in collaboration with the Pharmacy Leadership & Education Institute (PLEI). This award program recognizes those men and women who used their Brotherhood experience as a springboard to accomplishment.
View RecipientsIt is the tradition at Grand Council for the Executive Council to select an Honorary Grand President to preside over the meeting. The Honorary Grand President is traditionally presented with a plaque and will customarily close the final business session of the Grand Council that year.
View RecipientsThe large number of outstanding alumni attest to the fact that PhiDex are truly the “Leaders in Pharmacy.” At the 52nd Grand Council (Lake Tahoe, 1978), the Distinguished Alumnus Report was established to give special recognition to outstanding Alumni Brothers from each Chapter. In 2017, the award was renamed from Distinguished to Outstanding. One report from each Chapter was printed in The Communicator between 1980-2023 to encourage further support and participation from Alumni Brothers. The award was renamed in 2025 to the Honored Chapter Alumnus Award.
View Recipients1975 - 1985: Plaques are presented annually to those chapters with the highest percentage of their alumni who are dues-paying members of the national fraternity. Chapters are divided into three groups based on the member of living alumni who have been initiated since 1920.
Group I (more than 550 living alumni)
Group II (350 - 550 living alumni)
Group III (less than 350 living alumni)
1985 - present: Alumni compose the backbone of our Fraternity and this is one of the few ways that Phi Delta Chi can honor the accomplishments of our alumni. Over the year, each alumni chapter is asked to fill out a series of reports detailing the social activities, professional and scholarship programs they sponsor.
View RecipientsWhat is a selfless servant? They are the embodiment of what it means to serve the Fraternity without asking for anything in return. The humble, behind the scenes, but always present Brother. The Alumni Affairs Team established the Selfless Servant Award in 2017 to honor those alumni who have selflessly served the Fraternity and Brotherhood.
