Distinguished Alumnus Award

Background

The true measure of Phi Delta Chi’s influence on student pharmacists can be found in the achievements of its alumni Brothers. Within the profession of pharmacy, Phi Delta Chi is known for developing leaders in many fields of endeavor. A vast number of our alumni have gained distinction through success in their profession, service to the Fraternity, or contributions to their communities. Phi Delta Chi established the Distinguished Alumnus Award Program in 2017 to honor outstanding alumni Brothers and to celebrate their achievements.

Purpose and Philosophy

The purpose of the Distinguished Alumnus Award is to recognize Phi Delta Chi alumni who have made significant contributions to society, and whose accomplishments, affiliations, and careers have advanced science or served humanity. The Distinguished Alumnus Award does more than honor its recipients. It helps illustrate the great value of Phi Delta Chi’s leader-development programs, in collaboration with the Pharmacy Leadership & Education Institute (PLEI). This award program recognizes those men and women who used their brotherhood experience as a springboard to accomplishment.
