Grand President

About This Office

The duty of the Grand President shall be to call meetings of the Grand Council and the Executive Council to order at the appointed time; to preside at such meetings; to preserve order and decorum; to assess fines; to enforce the Constitution and the Bylaws; to act in all ways as the Chief Executive of the Fraternity; to represent the Fraternity on the Board of Directors of the Pharmacy Leadership & Education Institute; and to deliver to that person’s successor all the documents and property belonging to the office. The Grand President may appoint Project Directors to 1-year terms to achieve the Fraternity’s goals.

Grant T. Stimes, PharmD

Grant Stimes is currently serving as Grand President. He graduated from Drake University in 2017 with a PharmD and Masters in Public Administration. He then completed his PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and PGY2 in Infectious Diseases through the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy and CT Children’s. After completing his post-graduate training, he has been working as a pediatric infectious diseases/antimicrobial stewardship clinical pharmacy specialist at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, Texas. Grant joined Phi Delta Chi in 2011 and served as WP and WAL in the Psi Chapter. Grant was able to assist in the reactivation of the Nu Chapter and chartering of the Gamma Sigma Chapter while he was a student in addition to serving on some national committees. After graduating, Grant served as the Midwest Regional Director for Alumni Affairs for four years before serving two years as the Grand Vice President for Alumni Affairs. In his free time, Grant enjoys walking around the parks and bayous in Houston and trying out new restaurants in the city.
