Achievement Award Program
Congratulations to Alpha Gamma, winner of the 2015-2016 Thurston Award!
Phi Delta Chi’s Achievement Award (AA) program is a non-competitive program involving the submission of Chapter reports covering a variety of subjects. Its purpose is to promote Chapter correspondence with the National Office, encouraging communications between Chapters, improve the Chapter’s relations with their Alumni, and provide a framework for Chapters in upholding the ideals of Phi Delta Chi. The extent to which Chapters respond to the requirements of the program indicates not only the efficiency and activity of the Chapters, but also the responsibility that the Brothers of Phi Delta Chi are willing to assume.
The AA program recognizes those Chapters that keep the lines of communication open throughout the year. It is not a competitive award like the Emory W. Thurston Grand President's Award. The Thurston Award recognizes exemplary achievement in many areas. The Achievement Award honors consistent participation in the National Fraternity. Engraved plaques are awarded to the Chapters completing 90-100% of the Achievement Award Program. The Achievement Award Program plaques will be presented at the next Grand Council or Leader Development Seminar. The Emory W. Thurston Grand President’s Award, based on items turned in during this year’s AA program, will be announced as well. The Grand President’s Award is presented to the Chapter that has promoted the profession of pharmacy and Phi Delta Chi to the fullest extent during the preceding year. To qualify for the award, a Chapter must receive an efficiency rating of at least 90% in the Achievement Award Program. Those Chapters qualifying are then evaluated independently by the Grand Officers, Regional Officers, and other judges on their Professional Service Project reports, Prescott Scholarship report, Chapter publication, the John D. Grabenstein Leadership report, and the Ralph L. Saroyan Brotherhood report.
Beginning in February 2017 all Submissions are made via the online platform. See the FAQ below for instructions.
