THE PRESCRIPTION FOR HOPE: PHARMACY FRATERNITY TEAMS WITH ST. JUDE
Fundraising Campaign Announced Between Nation's Oldest Pharmacy Fraternity and the Nation's Premier Childhood Cancer Research Center
August 15, 2007 - Phi Delta Chi Pharmacy Fraternity announced a $200,000 commitment to support St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Over the next 4 years, with the support of the National Office, more than 55 Collegiate Chapters of the Fraternity will be conducting fundraising activities to meet this goal. Upon completion of this commitment, one of the hospital's several outpatient pharmacies will be named in honor of Phi Delta Chi.
"The Prescription for Hope campaign only furthers Phi Delta Chi's commitment to St. Jude and the work they do for many children," said Song You, Grand President of Phi Delta Chi. "We've been a supporter of this worthy cause for over 10 years and it was time to take it to a new level."
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital® was selected as Phi Delta Chi's National Philanthropy in 1995. Since then, the Fraternity's Collegiate Chapters and Alumni have raised funds for St. Jude through various means. The Prescription for Hope campaign is a focused, uniform, and more promising technique involving letterwriting.
