GRAND VICE PRESIDENT FOR COLLEGIATE AFFAIRS (GVPCA)
About This Office
The
duty of the Grand Vice President for Collegiate Affairs (GVPCA) shall be to
supervise the activities of the Regional Directors for Collegiate Affairs
(RDCAs) under the direction of the Grand and Executive Councils; and to deliver
to that person’s successor all documents belong to the office. The GVPCA shall
be responsible for the promotion of Collegiate Chapter Standards, as approved
by the Grand Council and published in the Fraternal Education Manual, and the
Chapter Excellence and Quality (ChEQ) Program, as defined by the Executive
Council in its policies and procedures.
The GVPCA shall be responsible for
organizing and coordinating the judging of materials from the Achievement Award
Program, with support of the Executive Director and following procedures
defined by the Executive Council.
About This Officer: Brandon J. Sucher, PharmD, CDE
Dr. Sucher is an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Palm Beach Atlantic University (PBA) Lloyd L. Gregory School of Pharmacy. His primary responsibilities at PBA include serving as the preceptor of senior pharmacy students in Ambulatory Care and Advanced Ambulatory Care clinical rotations at the West Palm Beach Veterans Affairs Medical Center where he specializes in managing therapy for patients with diabetes, dyslipidemia, and hypertension. In addition to serving as clinical pharmacist, he has also developed and precepts a PBA Academia elective rotation for pharmacy practice residents at the West Palm Beach VA. He coordinates and teaches in the Pathophysiology/Therapeutics course sequence and also teaches in Pharmacy Calculations, Pharmaceutics, and Case Studies in Therapeutics. Brandon’s passion for teaching and leadership development, coupled with guidance from his mentors, led him to devel
op and teach an elective in Applied Leadership in Pharmacy Practice.
He received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Texas Tech University School of Pharmacy in 2001 and subsequently completed a primary care residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2002.
Brandon is an alumnus of the Phi
Delta Chi Beta Rho Chapter. He was one of the 14 founding members. He served as the Charter Worthy Chief Counselor and led a team in establishing a sound foundation from which the chapter could grow and prosper. He is a past Southcentral Regional Correspondent and has served as a facilitator at Regional Meetings, Grand Councils, and Leader Development Seminars.
Brandon enjoys continued collegiate involvement in Phi Delta Chi as one of the advisors for the Beta Phi chapter of Phi Delta Chi at PBA. His honors and recognition include induction as a charter member of the Phi Lambda Sigma Leadership Honor Society at Texas Tech University School of Pharmacy and honorary membership in the Rho Chi Academic Honor Society at PBA.
