Grand Vice President for Communications (GVPC)
About This Office
Jeff Prescott, PharmD
Jeff is a Chicagoland native, growing up in the near suburbs outside of the city. His interests in pharmacy started as a clerk in a local corner drug store and grew from there. While earning a PharmD degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Pharmacy in 1994, he became a brother of Phi Delta Chi in 1991. It is safe to say that his relationship with the Fraternity significantly shaped Jeff’s life, both personally and professionally from that point on, starting with his first Grand Council in Baltimore (1991). His contributions to the Alpha Sigma chapter and national organization have spanned from organizing community service events as a student (some of which are still active), helping found the local alumni chapter, serving as a regional director, performing as an LDS facilitator, and being the Fraternity’s webmaster for a number of years, helping to guide and style the online presence we have today. In his career, Jeff’s professional experiences have taken him from that corner drugstore into the realm of managed care pharmacy practice, health outcomes and economics research, and most recently into medical publishing. For the last 7+ years, Jeff has worked with Intellisphere LLC, a medical communications company in NJ developing educationally-based promotional programs for both patients and healthcare providers in conjunction with the company’s many publication offerings including Pharmacy Times, the American Journal of Managed Care, and OncLive.com. In his position there as Senior Vice President of Operations and Clinical Affairs, Jeff also has responsibility for organizing and refining processes companywide. Last, but not least, Jeff continues to have the privilege of being a preceptor for pharmacy students from Rutgers, and now Temple, schools of pharmacy.
